Jonathan was elected Ensign of the Train Band in the District of Guilford in 1737.

Court of Probate records show that Temperance Lee Butler was made administrator before October 1760.

The (w) prefixes on the names Anne, Sarah, and Hester were copied from Eva L. Butler's notebook, but their meaning is unknown.
