Katherine's father was Richard Haughton. She was baptised in the First Church of Christ in New London.

Hempsted’s Diary p.206: "fryd 24, fair Thawing weather ... Old Ms Buttler Died ys morn. She was taken with the numpalsie last Sund"

Hempsted’s Diary p.258: "Mr. Buttler the oldest man in the Town almost died today this afternoon 7 days illness aged 80 years." Monday, March 26, 1733.

Thomas Butler, brother of John, died December 20, 1701 aged 59.

Will filed in New London Probate on March 28, 1733.
