Sylvester Butler carried this packet to France in 1918. It was
made of a soft leather by Eva Lutz.
It contains a photo and a lock of hair clipped between two cards
with a message.
The photo is dated May 19, 1918 and is taken in Cromwell CT.
Eva's note reads:
I love you and when you're lonesome I love you more
and think now I am with you cause this is really me.
I just love you so because you are my Happiness Man.
