July 1885. The Savage family put on their hats for this photo
taken in front of the First Congregational Church of Cromwell
CT, right next door to the family homestead
on Main Street. Carrie Savage (Butler) sits in front to the right
of center.
October 1996. The Butler family recreates the scene. Same place,
different hats. Jackie and Sewall Butler (center) are surrounded
by their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The
family homestead is still next
door.
