Family Notes

The Rev. Daniel Beers was bapt.15 Apr 1787 in Westport, Conn. He married Sophia Newell and was pastor of the Congregational Church at Orient, N.Y. as well as at Greenport, Long Island NY, (where he died) and active in the founding of Union Theological Seminary.

The picture above came from a small framed drawing at the Congregation Church. He was son of Noah Beers who resided in Duchess co., N.Y. 1800 (bapt. 30 Nov 1766 at Fairfield, Conn.) and his wife Eliz. Lewis whom he married 10 Mar 1785, in Greenfield Church of Fairfield, CT.
